2) Printing :

Reframing :

There is a difference in format between a digital photo 4/3 and a photo on paper 2/3 which entails a loss in height, which is why we offer two options for printing.

The first option enables you to reframe automatically from the centre of the photo to transfer 2/3 format into the digital file which is in 4/3 format. Hence you will have a loss of information on both top and bottom of the photo for horizontal, vertical views and on the sides.

The second option allows you to choose the non-reframing method, thus you will have the picture in full but slightly smaller to keep the density of the original, and there will be a white stripe on both left and right of the photo.

The best alternative would be to reframe the photos to the pre-set format first and leave the reframing option so that the photo fills a full page format when printing.

Balance:

Select the colorimetric compensation option to enhance photos with little contrast and few saturated colours.
We advise you not to select this option the two following situations :
- For pictures with high contrast
- For already modified photos
Actually in both cases balance entails an excessive saturation of colours rendering an unnatural look.

Tone :

We offer you to print your photos out in different tone :
- colour
- black and white
- sepia

Quality gauge :

myPIX has set up a quality gauge system to warn you whether photo resolution is sufficient or not for a decent photo when printing.

your image has sufficient quality for a printing in chosen format

your image has unsufficient quality for a printing in chosen format, select a smaller format or increase image resolution
